strange times in the life of me...
kinda been a rough month... not real good on the emotional and spiritual health meters...
to sum up... i had another one of my best friends get married (which is, of course, a beautiful thing, except it serves as a strong reminder of my own loneliness), had a big falling out with a couple of my friends (fortunately we've managed to pull it all back together, but it still did its damage), had to miss the best opportunity to see Syd and Gav that id had in about three months, found out my friends are pregnant with their second (again, good things, but good things i dont have), and got to experience another month of working a "job" instead of working towards my calling...
all in all, not the best of times...
still, it hasnt been all bad... it was super awesome to get to meet jons friends, it felt like id known those guys my whole life... my diet has been a whole lot better (although as the stress gets piled on, the diet slips further down on the priorities list)... and even though im not the biggest fan of working at the restaurant, i feel like im starting to get more respect for all that i do there, and that always feels good...
anyway...
to completely shift gears...
we've got a new champ!
unbelievable result for matt... before the fight vegas had the betting lines at -900/+500 in favor of gsp... for those who dont understand mma/boxing lines, that means that in order to make $100 on this fight betting on the champ, you wouldve had to bet $900, but a bet on matt comes in at 500% profit... this means that nobody gave matt a chance in this fight (myself included) and now hes champion in the most competitive weight class in all of mma...
and changing gears again...
